Just starting out?

So, you have decided you would like to own some alpacas – but there is so much to think about, and it can be difficult to know where to start. Don’t worry, Zarza can help you every step of the way and make sure you get the sort of alpacas you want, at the price you want to pay. We pride ourselves on giving expert, honest and objective advice, and definitely no hard sell. We can tell you the qualities of each alpaca, and help you make an informed choice, whether your interest is in breeding, producing fleece or just having alpacas as pets.

Once you have taken your alpacas home, a few weeks down the line you may have a few questions. We’re always here to help, and we don’t mind how many times you need to phone us – we’ll come and visit you too. It’s important to us that you are happy with your alpacas and that they are happy too.

You already have some alpacas, but would like to extend your herd

Zarza can help you find the right alpacas to complement those you already have.You may already have a specification in mind or you may wish to have a more strategic approach to developing your herd. Hilary has selected alpacas in Peru, Switzerland, Italy and UK and will give you an honest personal assessment of your current herd and advise on your options to improve and develop your breeding programme.

Zarza provides both huacayas and suris including :-

• Pregnant females, some with cria at foot
• Young females pregnant for the first time
• Young males with stud potential
• Geldings/wethers, which would make ideal pets.

And, of course, we are available if you need any help or advice either when you buy your new alpacas or at any time afterwards.

Every animal we sell is fully registered with the British Alpaca Society and has a comprehensive health record. And if we don’t have what you are looking for, we’ll be happy to locate and select suitable alpacas from other reputable breeders.
